DIY Henna Kit

THE KIT INCLUDES:

• 100 g organic BAQ Rajasthani henna powder (USDA certified)
• 30 ml organic Bulgarian lavender essential oil (EU certified)
• 40 g turbinado sugar
• 20 pre-rolled cellophane cones with pins
• 1 carrot bag
• 1 nylon stocking

RECIPE TO MAKE HENNA PASTE FOR BODY ART

• BAQ henna powder - 100 g
• Essential oil* - 30-35 ml
• Sugar - 40 g
• Lemon juice - 100 ml (not included in the kit)
• Boiled water (cooled)** - 100 ml (not included in the kit)

This recipe makes 15-17 cones (20 g each).

*We recommend using high quality essential oils (lavender, cajeput, tea tree, etc.) to ensure a dark stain. Lavender is the most suitable oil for sensitive skin, children, and pregnant women.

**Instead of using water you can use lemon juice only (total liquid in the recipe should be 200 ml).

DIRECTIONS

1. Add henna powder and sugar in a bowl and mix.

2. Now add essential oil, water, and lemon juice and mix until no dry powder is visible. At this point the paste will be thick.

3. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil and leave it in a cabinet for dye release (20 to 24 hours).

4. Mix the paste really well until it is free from all lumps. We recommend using a stand mixer (but not handheld mixers). You can also mix by hand using a whisk. Now the paste should have a creamy and stringy consistency.

5. Strain the paste with a nylon stocking or a fine mesh strainer into a carrot bag and tie a rubber band/use a bag clip to close the bag.

6. Cut the tip of the carrot bag and fill your cones!

STORAGE

• Henna powder must be stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture and light. Once opened, please keep the remaining powder in a tightly sealed bag and use within a year.
• Essential oil needs to be stored in the refrigerator. Use within 2 years.
• Store sugar at room temperature.
• Henna cones must be stored in the freezer and thawed for 30 minutes before use.
